June 12, 2018– The National Women’s Hockey League and NWHL Players’ Association today formally announced a unique partnership with Edmonton-based Legend Rings that makes Isobel Cup championship rings available to players and the fans.
“We are very excited to be partnered with the NWHL and all the amazing athletes who are a part of the league,” said Legacy Rings Founder and CEO Kyle Ferbey. “We have a lot of passion for making rings and understand the journey, hard work, and commitment it takes for an NWHL team to become Isobel Cup champions.”
As a result of the partnership, Legend Rings becomes the Official Championship Ring Provider of the NWHL and NWHLPA. Legend Rings produced the Isobel Cup rings for the 2016 champion Boston Pride and 2017 champion Buffalo Beauts and are finalizing production on title rings for the 2018 champion Metropolitan Riveters.
A fan version of the rings – beautiful replicas in which fans have their names and a statement inscribed – are available to purchase at legendrings.com/NWHL.
“The players of the NWHL know when they look at their Isobel Cup rings that it will always take them back to that moment of victory, how hard they’ve fought and the lifelong friendships they’ve made,” said NWHL Players’ Association Executive Director Anya Battaglino. “It’s not the metal and jewels that form the rings. It’s the experience, the memories, and the team. The rings are a true symbol of being a champion. Considering the incredible, close-knit relationship the NWHL players and teams have with our supporters, we are proud to make a key aspect of this partnership with Legend Rings the opportunity for fans to purchase a championship ring.”
