Brianna Decker earns second straight NWHL Player of the Week honor

The Boston Pride’s Brianna Decker earns back-to-back NWHL Player of the Week honors after an astounding nine-point performance this weekend during the Pride’s two games against the New York Riveters and Buffalo Beauts.

Decker started the weekend taking on the Riveters, recording her first four points of the weekend, including the game winning goal that beat goalie Katie Fitzgerald, and notching three assists in the prides comeback win over the Riveters.

Decker was not done there, as she put up five points in the Pride’s dominant 7-1 win over the Beauts on Sunday. Decker started off the night assisting on both Pride goals in the first period. In the second, she didn't let up netting a pair of goals and threading a beautiful pass through to Alex Carpenter for an assist.

Decker has been on fire these past couple of weeks, in three games she has four goals and eight assists for 12 points, and an outstanding point streak of 8 games. Decker has been a leading force in the Pride’s historic season as she has taken charge of her team.

The Pride's perfect regular season is on the line this weekend as they take on the New York Riveters at the Barnabas Health Hockey House on Sunday at 4:00pm. Tickets are available HERE.
