Amanda Kessel Named NWHL Player of the Week

NWHL All-Star Captain Amanda Kessel registered two goals and tacked on four assists for a six-point weekend as the Riveters faced the Beauts and Whale. Kessel scored her first and second career goals along with her third career assist on Friday in the Riveters overtime loss to the Beauts. Kessel wasn’t done there, as she tacked on three more assists in the Riveters 8-6 comeback win on Sunday over the Whale

Kessel scored her first goal after picking up her own rebound and firing the puck past Amanda Levellie. Kessel’s second goal came on the power play in the 3rd period with a beautiful snipe to beat Levellie blocker side to tie the game at 3.

Kessel has been a points-machine this season, generating nine in just four games this season.

Kessel and the Riveters take on the Beauts in Newark this Saturday, where they will try to avenge the overtime loss in Buffalo last weekend. Tickets are available HERE!
