Jillian Dempsey registered 2 goals, had 6 shots, and was a +2 in the Pride’s victory over the Whale last weekend, propelling the pride to a 4-0 victory and making them 9-0 on the season, with no sign of the team slowing down. The Pride are still sitting pretty at the top of the league standings with 18 points.
Dempsey started off the scoring against the Whale scoring the 1st goal of the game slamming home the shot into the net to beating Whale goaltender Nicole Stock, off a rebound generated by a shot off the far pad from Alex Carpenter 12:35 into a very fast paced 1st period.
The Harvard Grad and 2012 Patty Kazmaier Award nominee went on to score her second of the game on a perfect pass from Amanda Pelkey, making it 3-0.
Dempsey is proving to be a Whale killer this season notching three goals on 11 shots on net in the three games the Whale faced the Pride this season.
She is also dominant in the faceoff circle, winning 63% of the face-offs she takes against Connecticut this season.
