The Minnesota Whitecaps and their extraordinary fans have broken the record for the fastest sellout in NWHL history.

Whitecaps fans purchased all 1,200 tickets available for the team’s Semifinal matchup on Sunday at TRIA Rink in Saint Paul. The Whitecaps will meet the winner of the Play-In game between the Riveters and Whale.

The game was sold out in 25 hours. This continues the Whitecaps' sellout streak at 9, for all home games in their inaugural NWHL season.

The previous record for fastest sold-out game in NWHL history was the 2018 Isobel Cup Final in New Jersey, which was sold to capacity in 46 hours.

“Every time we think the Whitecaps and their fans can’t astonish us any more, they raise the bar for our league another notch,” said NWHL Commissioner Dani Rylan. "This is a significant achievement for professional women’s hockey that everyone in the State of Hockey should be very proud of.”

If the Whitecaps, the No. 1 seed going into the playoffs, win their Semifinal on Sunday, they would host the Isobel Cup Final the following weekend…and their fans would have a chance to establish a new record.
