BROOKLYN, NY – The Parker sisters of Milton, Mass. are once again teammates on the ice, as former Harvard forward Elizabeth Parker has joined the Boston Pride for the 2017-18 season.
Elizabeth Parker played for the Crimson between 2010-2014, accumulating 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points in 125 games.
“I’m incredibly honored and humbled to have signed with the Boston Pride and to become a player in the NWHL,” said Parker. “Playing at the highest level with such talented teammates is a dream come true, so it's going to be an unbelievable experience to play for my hometown. As a team, I believe we can bring the Isobel Cup back to Boston.”
Elizabeth’s sister, Mary, signed with the Pride earlier this year, after her collegiate career had ended with one season at Boston University after four at Harvard.
“I’m very excited to play with Mary,” said Elizabeth. “We always played on the same teams growing up, so playing at the next level will be extra special. It's definitely going to be a very fun experience.”
Parker, a 5-9 forward, was a participant for three years in USA Hockey development camps. She played ice hockey, lacrosse and field hockey during her high school career at Acton Boxborough Regional and Middlesex, before playing for the Boston Shamrocks club as a junior and for Assabet as a senior for head coach Dennis Laing.
Parker majored in Government at Harvard, and is currently working on an equity derivatives desk at Goldman Sachs in Boston.
