The Pack adds another dangerous piece of the puzzle

BROOKLYN, NY – NWHL All-Star, United States National Team forward and former Boston College star Dana Trivigno is joining the Pride in 2017-18. Trivigno, who played last season in Connecticut, has signed a one-year contract with Boston.

“I had an unbelievable experience with the Whale last year, but I live in Boston and am excited to start another season in the NWHL,” said Trivigno, 23. “I feel it was the right move to join the Pride. It’s a great organization and there will be many new faces this year. I’m thrilled to see what the year brings.”

As an NWHL All-Star last season with the Whale, the Long Island native had 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points in 16 games.

In her four-year collegiate career at Boston College, Trivigno was 57-81-136 in 148 games. The 5-4- forward had 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points in 41 games while serving as the Eagles’ captain in her senior season.

With the USNT, Trivigno played in the 2015 and 2016 IIHF Women's World Championships, winning gold medals in both, and two Four Nations Cups, winning in 2016 and finishing in second in 2014. At age 14, she left Long Island to attend and play for Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Minnesota.

She graduated from the Boston College Carroll School of Management in 2016 with a double concentration in Finance and Operations Management. She is currently the Director of Girls Hockey for the Boston Junior Whalers Spring and Summer Elite Hockey Program. Now that she has signed with the Pride, Trivigno will pursue a career as a financial advisor in the city.

About the Whale, Trivigno said, “I want to say thank you to the fans, coaches and staff, but most importantly my teammates who made last year a blast. I will always remember being a part of the Pod!"
