Western New York's city of Buffalo hasn't had a lot of sports teams to celebrate in recent history, so it's no wonder the town has embraced the Isobel Cup Champion Buffalo Beauts the way they have.
On April 3rd, the city bestowed the Beauts yet another honor: the entire day. That's right, April 3rd was Buffalo Beauts Day in Buffalo.
"We are so proud of this team and so proud of these young women for their accomplishment," Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said of the Beauts.
When asked how he would describe the Beauts, coach and general manager Ric Seiling responded simply, "Buffalo. These individuals are hard-working, they would not be denied and when the odds were against them, they found a way to come together and get the job done.”
