Five-Member Committee Tasked with Reviewing Plays and Determining Discipline
The National Women’s Hockey League's Player Safety Committee for the 2016-17 season is comprised of Kelly Cooke, Josephine Pucci, AJ Mleczko, Terry Koharski and Joe Ernst .
The Player Safety Committee is tasked with reviewing plays for potential supplemental discipline in accordance with NWHL bylaws and regulations. The committee has the ability to warn and suspend players.
Cooke played for the Boston Pride in the NWHL’s inaugural season and is a certified ice hockey official. Koharski is veteran referee in the American Hockey League (AHL). Pucci won a silver medal with Team USA in the 2014 Olympics. Mleczko medaled with Team USA at the 1998 and 2002 Olympics, and began a career in sports broadcasting with NBC. Ernst is the Vice President of Hockey Operations of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
